Dental emergencies don’t always happen between regular business hours. Receiving necessary dental care could save your smile, and treat pain or symptoms you may be experiencing. At St. Paul Family Dental Centre, we do all we can to provide emergency dental care when needed.
If you’ve experienced an injury to your mouth such as a knocked out tooth, cracked or chipped teeth, facial swelling, a missing crown and more – do not hesitate to call us immediately.

What to do if you are experiencing a dental emergency
It’s important to address tooth pain without delay. A toothache is one of the most common dental emergencies. Waiting out a toothache may aggravate the condition.
A cracked tooth is a serious emergency. It suggests the occurrence of damage on the inside and outside of the tooth. In the event that you’re missing a piece or an entire tooth, put the tooth in water or milk. Make sure to bring it to the office with you. There’s a good chance that your tooth may be reinserted or saved. In order to preserve a broken tooth, time is of the essence! Try and make it to the office within an hour.
Loose teeth or teeth out of alignment can be fixed. Call the office right away to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, bite down lightly or gently push your tooth back in place with clean hands. Do not force your tooth in and do not eat anything crunchy!
Depending on the diagnosis of your dental emergency, you may be prescribed medication to ward off infection or eliminate pain. In any event, our team takes dental emergencies very seriously, and will always do our best to assist you.
